Summary of the EHS-UAOT CME Conference
The conference was organized by Ukrainian Association of Orthopaedists and Traumatologists in collaboration with the European Hip Society on “Complex primary and revision THA”. There were more than 250 participants,  all of whom were hip surgeons from every state of Ukraine. We also had guest speakers and participants from US, Germany, Russia, China, Czeck Republic, etc.

It was a very successful conference and the discussions were of the highest level of sub-specialty, touching on the relevant areas of controversies.

The CME Conference took place in Kharkiv, Ukraine on the 14-15th of April. The project was the initiative of Prof Stanislav Bondarenko, EHS Nat Rep for Ukraine.

Prof Javad Parvizi from the Rothman Institute and Ass Professor Ran Schwarzkopf , Hospital For Joint Diseases New York, USA, were actively involved. Copies  of the proceedings of the International Consensus on management of periprosthetic joint infection were translated to Ukrainian language and presented to the Ukrainian Orthopaedic Community by Prof Javad Parvizi

Prof Eleftherios Tsiridis, Secretary General of the European Hip Society, followed his scientific talks by giving a summary of the EHS and explaining why more Ukrainian surgeons would benefit from becoming members.

Prof Bondarenko is highly indebted to the organizing committee members, especially Prof Mykola Korzh, Prof Volodymyr Filipenko, Prof Alexander Loskutov Academician Georgi Gaiko, and all invited guest speakers for their
important contribution in enhancing the level of the conference.
