A big welcome to our new Nat Rep for Germany, Prof Carsten Perka, Medical Director of the Centre for Musculoskeletal Surgery at Charité Hospital in Berlin. He will be working on our EHS session at DKOU this year, as well as making an impact at our congress of course. You can read more about him HERE. Thanks to Prof Fritz Thorey who steps down, having served the role diligently for many years.
We wish a warm welcome to four new members this month. Full members are: Prof Jochen Gerhard Hofstaetter from Vienna, Austria, Mr Mark Robert John Jenkinson from Glasgow, UK and Dr Ferruccio Vorini from Rome, Italy; International member is: Dr Vishnu Senthil Kumar from Chennai, India. For hip events, March means AAOS in California for many of us, while next month EHS holds an inaugural session at the Turkish Arthroplasty Society (KADAD)’s annual congress (24-27th April). Don’t miss the upcoming courses with EHS patronage, namely the 6th Practical Course Orthopedics (PCO) in France (22-23rd May), FORTE Summer School (19-23rd May) in Croatia, and new to the list, the Modena Joint Arthroplasty Enabling Technology Meeting, celebrating the 850th Anniversary Constitution of University of Modena and Reggio Emilia (4th July). Myself and Prof Haddad (EHS President Elect) will be speaking there, along with Prof Karachalios and Prof Randelli from our EHS SciCom, as well as Prof Cobb, Prof Lustig, Dr Riviere, Prof Troelsen and of course Prof Catani the organiser.
