Dear EHS Members,
Prof Javad Parvizi (USA) offered an amazingly succinct summary from the ICM at our EHS Webinar on Primary THA this week, which lead onto a very interesting discussion on the gut microbiome and phage. We were delighted to welcome Ms Samantha Tross (UK), who presented new technologies available to improve preoperative planning, and Prof Fatih Kucukdurmaz (Turkiye), who show-cased designs and bearings. A crossfire on the need or not for a robot in primary THA had a predictable outcome, with Prof Fares Haddad (UK) for and Dr Olga Pidgaiska (Ukraine) against. Prof Mattia Loppini (Italy) closed with an interesting case presentation. Thanks to all who attended, and for those who missed it, the free replay will be available soon.
Our next free EHS Webinar is on Revision THA on 26th June @ 19:00-20:30 (CET). Register HERE NOW.

Getting in the mood for our 16th EHS Congress Thessaloniki?
Ancient Greek demigod, Heracles
Visible across the gulf from our seafront congress in October this year, as you will see, is Mount Olympos, home to the Greek deities. One of the most famous is of course Hercules, known in Greek as Heracles. He symbolised strength, courage, and heroic endeavor.
His famous 12 tasks (for Eurystheus) were:
- to kill the Nemean Lion
- to kill the Lernaean Hydra (a gigantic, nine-headed water-serpent, which haunted the swamps of Lerna, as pictured above)
- to capture the Ceryneian Hind
- to capture the Erymanthian Boar
- to clean the stables of Augeas in one day
- to kill the Stymphalian Birds
- to capture the Cretan Bull
- to steal the Mares of Diomedes
- to steal the girdle of the queen of the Amazons, Hippolyta
- to steal the cattle of the monster Geryon
- to steal the Hesperidean Apples
- to capture Cerberus, guardian of the Underworld
