Dear EHS Members,
You are all cordially invited to the EHS General Assembly during our 16th EHS Congress Thessaloniki on Thursday 16th October 2025 @ 18:30-19:30 local time (we are one hour ahead of CET here in Greece). On the Agenda will be the voting in of the new EHS President 2027-2029 and the EHS Secretary General 2025-2029. As you know, all fully paid up Full Members have voting rights. Deadline for receiving candidacies is end of May 2025.
Following on from the GA will be our wonderful Gala Dinner. A fantastic evening awaits you all at the beautiful seafront venue adjacent to the congress and opposite Mount Olympos: an opportunity to catch up with hip friends and meet new colleagues, enjoying the world famous hospitality or “filoxenia” of Greece (filo means love, and xenos means stranger, so it translates to: turning strangers into friends).
Our scientific sessions across the two days of our congress are in top shape and I will be delighted to share the programme soon. We have received many abstracts, and if you still want to submit, please do so as soon as possible (deadline: 10th May, submit HERE.).

Dr Stijn Bolink (Netherlands) & Dr Andrea D’Amelio (Italy), our EHS Fellows 2025, are off to Spain this month. They will travel into Madrid and out of Malaga. Their Hosts in Madrid are Prof Eduardo Garcia-Rey (EHS EduCom Vice Chairman) for Hospital La Paz, & Prof Jose Cordero-Ampuero (EHS Nat Rep for Spain) for Hospital La Princesa. In Malaga their host is Prof Placido Zamora for Hospital Universitario Virgen de la Victoria. Our fellows will observe mostly hip arthroplasty (primary and revision) and hip trauma and we very much look forward to publishing their report here.
