Thanks to all our applicants for the EHS Visiting Fellowship 2024 to Ireland. Winners will be announced in May.

EHS is happy to collaborate with EKS, IOEN, the Hip Society & the Knee Society at the World Arthroplasty Course this month (18-19th April 2024), where many European, USA and Asia-Pacific hip experts will join together to grapple all matters hip and knee arthroplasty. I will co-moderate a session on “The Dark Side of Arthroplasty”, where we will hear Prof Francesco Benazzo (Italy) tell us: “How to identify the patient at risk for chronic pain before arthroplasty?” I will also be asking in a later session: “Do we really need assistive tools and can we
make them cost-effective?”

EHS SciCom Chairman, Prof Luigi Zagra (Italy), will present on choosing your liner and two EHS Londoners (UK), Prof Justin Cobb and Prof Fares Haddad (EHS President Elect) will speak on resurfacing, while registry results will be tackled by Prof Ola Rolfson (Sweden) and Prof Anders Troelsen (Denmark) regards “Bearing and Head Diameter” and “Cemented vs Uncemented” respectively.

Many more great talks are lined up by EHS Profs Jean-Noel Argenson, Sebastien Lustig and Elhadi Sariali from France, Prof Andreas Halder from Germany and Prof Theofilos Karachalios from Greece, not to mention Profs Eduardo García-Rey and José Cordero from Spain and Prof Hannes Rüdiger from Switzerland. These European perspectives will meet Asia-Pacific and USA hip ideas from experts including Profs Craig Della Valle, Rafael J Sierra & Jonathan Vigdorchik.
