Sebastien Lustig

Dr Sébastien Lustig is a hip and knee surgeon and Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at Lyon North University Hospital (Hospices Civils de Lyon) in Lyon, France. He performs more than 1,000 hip and knee arthroplasties every year and has authored over 450 peer-reviewed scientific publications.

He is the Head of the Department of Orthopaedics and Director of the Orthopaedic Surgery Training Program at the University of Lyon. He is the current president of the French Hip and Knee Society (2025-2027) and is an active member of the International Hip Society. Dr Lustig is Editor-in-Chief of the journals SICOT-J and MO Journal.

His main areas of interest include fast-track recovery pathways, revision arthroplasty, periprosthetic joint infection, and robotic-assisted surgery.
