Dr Sebastian Hardt is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon and Head of the Hip Arthroplasty and Hip Surgery Section at the Centre for Musculoskeletal Surgery, Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin, one of Europe’s leading orthopaedic institutions. His clinical and academic work focuses on primary and revision total hip arthroplasty, complex hip reconstruction, periprosthetic joint infection, spinopelvic alignment, and patient-reported outcomes following hip replacement. Dr Hardt has authored more than 100 peer-reviewed publications and is actively involved in advancing evidence-based hip surgery through clinical research, registry studies, and the development of innovative surgical techniques. As the European Hip Society’s National Representative for Germany, he brings extensive expertise in hip preservation and arthroplasty, while fostering collaboration between German hip surgeons and the wider European orthopaedic community.
