EHS Visiting Fellowship 2024 to Ireland: Call for applicants!
The fellowship will take place for 2-3 weeks in Ireland in the Autumn of 2024 and Fellows will receive a fund of €3,000 each. Applicants must be:-
- 40 years old or younger
- Based in Europe
- European orthopaedic specialists with academic potential & an interest in high level knowledge of hip surgery

Dear EHS Members,
It was good to see many of you at the AAOS meeting in San Francisco recently. Closer to home, we warmly congratulate our EHS Secretary General, Prof Stanislav Bondarenko, who ran his annual course in Kharkiv, Ukraine on “Complications & Mistakes in Total Joint Arthroplasties (Prevention & Management)”. The event at the Sytenko Institute of Spine & Joint Pathology had EHS Patronage as usual and was a great success, with 50 participants onsite & 120 online. See the report HERE.
Looking forwards, I want to thank our committee members who took part in the Thessaloniki Think Tank. Together with the EHS SciCom, chaired by Prof Luigi Zagra, I have created a sizzling scientific programme for our 16th EHS Congress 2025 in Thessaloniki. The dates are fixed for 16-17th October 2025 and the venue is booked on the seafront of my wonderful home city, so I hope you will all come and enjoy the Grecian sunshine whilst attending our top class hip congress. We will bring you a fantastic event.
