As the president of this prestigious society from 2021-2023, culminating in the hugely successful 15th EHS Congress in Bern 2023, Prof Siebenrock’s goals were twofold: first, to bundle European scientific knowledge and promote academic work in the field of hip and pelvic disease and treatment in Europe, as well as to make it more visible throughout the world. Second, the education and training of young hip surgeons was intensified through fellowships at renowned European hip centers, structured educational courses and common educational content.
