17th EHS Congress London
London @ Olympia 7th-8th October 2027.
BHS is road testing the venue for us next year. Just renovated. Final stages of reservation and hotels aren’t even finished yet.
Deposit was paid today.
Similar format to Thessaloniki. Not as cheap as Thessaloniki.
If you’re tired of London, you are tired of life!
World class. Heart of London. Easily accessible. Nice hotels and restaurants nearby. EHS will have its own front door access to the venue.
We’ll have bigger rooms! [The success in Thessaloniki meant we were tight for space.]
Jai from MEDX Events our congress organising company is here and we are learning how to apply all we’ve learnt in Thessaloniki.
We’ll be at DKOU with a session and an EHS booth again this year.
BHS will kindly host us next year. Incredibly supported.
If your country wants EHS help, contact Samantha or me, and we will see to it.
EHS / THS Stockholm 3-5th September 2026, Sheraton Hotel, Stockholm
The Hip Society are the accomplished, top surgeons in North America and this is a A very worthwhile opportunity
We want a v strong EHS presence. You will have to pay your own way, but it will be very special.
WAC 22-24th April 2027
EHS will be involved again, with IOEN, EKS, The Hip Soc & The Knee Soc.

For period 01.09.2023 – 01.09.2025: Income: €143k Expenses: €175k
Total in the standard EHS account 01.09.2023 €197k & on 01.09.2025 is €165k
[NB Congress 2025 profit yet to be added!].
15th EHS Bern 2023 meeting income: €24,846.
€250k is in a trustworthy investment since 2021. In 2026 we will get that investment back.
Auditors: Both approved, after pointing out one bsns flight. Bsns flights are not part of our policy. So, thanks.
EHS Main income: membership fees.
Discussion
Noted that the majority of EHS income goes to Hip International.
EHS recently wrote to SAGE to withdraw from Hip Int and they accepted a year’s notice (possibly less).
In the past we had abstracts from the meetings etc published, but not now, so it was stopped.
Warned to watch the problems of EFORT & AAOS as industry supports their own meetings with their own faculty and less the general and speciality congresses. Better to pay for educational activities, such as webinars with a small fee.
Membership fees could be raised? But not a GA discussion.
Questioned if EHS finances are on a downward trend, but members have confidence it is not and the congress here in Thessaloniki will be more profitable than the past two, so wait until the congress is done to worry about EHS finances.
6. Approval of Financial Reports 2023-25
Approved by Auditors Prof Cordero-Amouero & Prof Ilchmann.
Approved by members with show of hands.
