Dear EHS Members,
Our EHS Webinar on Hip Trauma yesterday afternoon was a great success, and very informative, thanks to organiser Dr Oliver Marin-Pena and our excellent team of speakers: Prof Martin Buttaro (Argentina), Mr Syed Ahmed (UK), Prof Luigi Zagra (Italy), Prof Ramesh Sen (India), Prof Maziar Mohaddes (Sweden), Prof Johannes Bastian (Switzerland) and Dr Guillermo Bonilla (Colombia). Thanks to our experts and all who attended – I am pleased to say we closed the webinar still good friends, despite some excitement discussing periprosthetic fractures! (Catch it in the replay soon.)
The fantastic report is in from our EHS Travelling Fellows, Dr Jetse Jelsma (Netherlands) and Dr Corinne Zurmühle (Switzerland), who learnt a great deal in Denmark with our hosts Dr Stig Jakobsen (Nat Rep), Prof Claus Varnum and Prof Søren Overgaard (EHS EduCom), to whom we are very grateful. Click HERE to share their experience, which included classical hip arthritis, young patients with hip preservation and complex trauma and infection cases from three of Denmark’s top orthopaedic centres in Vejle, Aarhus and Copenhagen.
Meanwhile, we are delighted to announce our two winners for the EHS Visiting Fellowship 2024 to Ireland, taking place this Autumn: Dr Ana Ferrão (Portugal) and Dr Juan Miguel Rodríguez Roiz (Spain). Congratulations! And thanks to all who applied.
The EHS Speciality session in Hamburg during the EFORT congress recently was a great success, despite the early start, and we present you the report with some nice photos HERE. We held our society’s General Assembly and committee meetings there too. Thanks to all who came. The Minutes will be circulated in due course.
