Letter from the President, Dr B Willem Schreurs
Dear Members,
In January the winter really has started with a lot of cold and snow, even in unexpected places like Greece and Spain. Fracture care will take a lot of the time of our members.
In addition, the congress season is already about to start again and EHS was recently involved in meetings at the EFORT head office in Rolle, Switzerland, to prepare the EFORT upcoming meetings in Vienna 2017 and in Barcelona 2018.
We are trying to build attractive symposia for our members and all other attendees of one of the the biggest European orthopaedic conferences, and are working on combined programmes with the European Bone and Joint Infection Society (EBJIS) and the European Paediatric Orthopedic Society (EPOS).
Combining efforts to really put orthopeadic care on the agenda of the politicians in Brussels is important these days, so the specialty societies and EFORT must strengthen each other in the coming years.
Greetings from The Netherlands,
Your EHS President, B Willem Schreurs
Letter from the Secretary General, Associate Prof Eleftherios Tsiridis
Dear Members,
January is almost over and it is the time of year when I ask you, as Secretary General of EHS, to kindly pay your annual membership dues, starting at €100. Of course, Emeritus and Honorary Members are free of charge, and Young Members pay just half the fee.
To make payment easier, our website now has PayPal. Please use it. However, if you prefer SEPA or credit card payment via the old method, the forms are available here and you can send your payment information to Samantha.
Please could I also remind European members to complete the NORE (Network of Orthopaedic Registries of Europe) Survey – kindly scroll down to find the document.
Meanwhile, we have two new members to welcome: Dr Dennis Janssen from Nijmegen in The Netherlands and Dr Vasileios Sakellariou from Athens, Hellas.
